Fort Drain Pinball League prepares for playoffs, State Championships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A local league takes to Old Crown Coffee Roasters on Thursday, but they are not there for refreshments.
The Fort Drain Pinball League gathers at the cafe's several pinball machines to gear up for its upcoming competitions.
According to League Operator Nick Squires, the league has spring, fall, and winter seasons. Each season, players meet six Thursday nights, with the playoffs taking place in the seventh session.
The league practices Thursday and once more on Jan. 16 at Electric Works. Competitions then commence on Jan. 18 in Lafayette for the State Championships, followed by league playoffs on Jan. 23 at Hop River.
All leagues and playoffs begin at 6 p.m. and run until 8 p.m..
