COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation will have crews all around the state for possible snow and ice impacts related to Winter Storm Cora. Crews are pretreating the roads across the state in areas that could see winter weather impacts, according to SCDOT. Drivers are asked to slow down and give crews space to work while they prepare. Secretary of Transportation Justin Powell said, “SCDOT crews are preparing equipment and pre-treating roads across the state while we continue to monitor the forecast. We want our community members to know that SCDOT stands ready to respond to any winter weather to keep South Carolinians moving.” Additionally, people are encouraged to stay off the roads if they don’t have to travel.
