Thursday morning, demolition began on the Austin Daily Herald’s downtown location. Work will center today on taking down the warehouse and garage portion of the building with a hope that further demolition will take place next week. For 53 years, the Herald had found a home in downtown Austin before moving its location in June of last year to 1511 Oakland Avenue South.
