SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The man that's been charged with intimidating police, will appear in Springfield District Court on Thursday.
Woman’s body found in Springfield’s Forest Park
Isaiah Lewis was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly threatened a police officer that was involved in his brother's shooting death. Lewis' brother died in a officer-involved shooting back in November. Devin Lewis allegedly stood in front of an apartment building's doorway with two guns before police opened fire.
Isaiah Lewis is alleged to have approached the officer’s home with his hand in his pocket; indicating he had a weapon, though none was shown. Ayers says Lewis confronted a family member of the officer and allegedly made a threat. No one was hurt, but police were called and Lewis was arrested not long afterward. DA spokesperson Elijah Ayers says they also allegedly found the address of a second officer involved in Devin Lewis’ shooting in Isaiah Lewis’ GPS at the time of his arrest.
Isaiah Lewis is facing multiple charges, and is expected to be in court sometime Thursday morning.
