The University of Hawai‘i men’s volleyball team continued its season-opening homestand with a dominant three-set victory over Harvard on Wednesday night at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Warriors cruised to a 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 win, improving to 3-0 on the season. Freshman outside hitter Kainoa Wade made his collegiate debut in the victory. The son of UH head coach Charlie Wade, Kainoa recorded 8 kills, with no errors and two blocks. A blue-chip recruit and reigning state player of the year, Wade graduated high school early to join the team but was unable to play in Hawai‘i’s season-opening wins over McKendree due to NCAA clearance delays. He was cleared to play just before Wednesday’s match.
