Bicyclist killed in hitandrun in Southeast DC, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in D.C. said they are investigating after a man was killed in a hit-and-run collision Wednesday night.
Just after 9 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 4400 block of Southern Avenue SE. There, a bicyclist had been hit by a car.

Police said they found a man who was not conscious or breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle that hit him fled the scene before officers arrived.
