UNM women's basketball still perfect in Mountain West play

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico women's basketball outlasted the Wyoming Cowgirls Wednesday night 73-67 to remain undefeated in Mountain West play. With the victory, the Lobos improved to 11-6 overall and 4-0 in league play. Wyoming's conference record is now 2-1.
Destinee Hooks led all scorers with 20 points for UNM. The nation's leader in free throw percentage, Viane Cumber, was the only other Lobo in double figures with 16 points. Allyson Fertig led Wyoming in scoring with 17 points. The Lobos are hosting league leader UNLV on Saturday morning. The game has an 11 a.m. start time on KRQE (CBS).
