"As far as how much can you really save, the sky's the limit," McGrath said. If you're new to couponing, McGrath recommends you start with a short list of stores you really like to shop, download their apps, join their rewards programs and level up from there."When shopping places like Walgreens and CVS, I'm always fascinated with some of how some of our KCL deal hunters can go in and basically get stuff for free, once they've stacked coupons, offers and some of those rebates you can get at a more advanced couponing level," she said.

That's where it pays to learn your favorite stores coupon policies.
McGrath used Target as an example, explaining how, once you sign up for the free Target Circle app, you can clip manufacturers coupons on top of that, use store-specific offers for more savings. You might also receive gift cards back with purchase.
When shopping online, just one extra click on Rakuten can earn you cashback on your entire purchase. The app includes deals through thousands of retail stores on everything from clothing to contacts lenses to hotel rooms. For cashback and rebates on groceries, McGrath recommends Fetch and Ibotta."They're great because you make a purchase, you submit your receipt, it's pretty streamlined and then you get a cash back rebate on something you already bought and you can redeem it for a gift card, so that's jut an extra level of savings," she said.McGrath said using even one coupon is better than paying full price, or, just sign up for alerts and let the Krazy Coupon Lady tell you where you the best deal is."So you know, the other day I wanted an electric toothbrush," McGrath said. "I just put that in our search bar and saw all the offers, [then] grabbed the best one. It told me exactly which coupon code I needed to use, and boom, I had an electric toothbrush for 50% off."
In all, taking baby steps can lead to big savings.
