Vacherie man arrested in Lutcher drug bust

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A Vacherie man has been arrested following a drug bust that happened in Lutcher on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office, around 3 p.m., an anonymous tip reported that 33-year-old Jarrid R. Ferrygood had allegedly been selling drugs around Lionel Washington Street in Lutcher.
Two arrested, third wanted in New Orleans East murder case
Around 3:45 p.m., deputies pulled Ferrygood over in the area for an alleged traffic violation. He was reportedly found with loose marijuana, individually packaged marijuana and items used to package marijuana for distribution.

Ferrygood was arrested and faces the following charges:
LA R.S. 32:123 – Violation of Stop Sign
LA R.S. 40:1023 – Possession or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia
LA R.S. 40:966A1 – Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
CCRP ART 202 – Warrant/Bench Warrant (2 Counts)
"Warrant for SJPSO Sec. 14-83 – Running at Large Prohibited and LA R.S. 14:102.1 Simple Cruelty to Animals."
