Renderings for Snider High School's $30M football stadium unveiled

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Snider High School is set to make a monumental upgrade to its athletic facilities with the construction of a new 4,400-seat football stadium that will cost $30 million.
Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) officials held a public information meeting Wednesday night to discuss plans for the new stadium. At the meeting, school officials presented detailed renderings of the stadium, which will serve other sports in addition to football.

With safety being a large concern, crosswalks will be included to ensure the community can easily access facilities.
The project will also bring over 200 new parking spots, expand their existing physical education building, and add a new concession and restroom building.

The project, which carries a price tag of $30 million, is a significant investment in the school's future and aims to enhance school spirit and enthusiasm for students and alumni.
In June 2024, the school board first approved a loan totaling nearly $55 million, most of which will help finance the stadium, they also assured that the project would not raise local property taxes.
