Snow showers ending this morning, more snow Friday
Jan 08, 2025
Snow showers taper off and end during the morning and our lowest temperatures fall to the low teens. Watch for slick spots on the roads, in areas where snow has fallen.
Clouds clear for the daytime, as our winds shift from the northwest and start coming from the southwest. This puts an end to the lake effect cloud cover and snowflakes that we experienced Wednesday. We'll still be cold, though, with highs only in the mid-20s.
On Friday, our next snow-producing weather system moves in during the morning. The arrival time of the snow is trending earlier and earlier. It's possible there could be some scattered snowflakes for the morning drive. The afternoon drive is most likely to see snow coming down and causing slow/slick travel conditions.
Friday's snow starts in the morning, gradually accumulating throughout the day and ending at night.
A total of 1"-2" of snow is likely across the entire area from the periods of snow that fall Friday morning through the evening.
Snowfall accumulation will reach up to a couple inches on Friday.
The weekend is dry both days. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-20s. Sunday's highs reach the low 30s.
A blast of cold air hits Monday and temps will fall through the day. Tuesday's highs reach the mid-teens. Be on alert to be bundled up for below zero wind chill values during this timeframe early next week.
Even colder air hits early next week. High temps rebound later in the week.
