New class in Minot for people looking to quit tobacco
Jan 08, 2025
MINOT, ND (KXNET) — On Thursday, January 9, First District Health Unit in Minot is holding a KickStart class in their main office for anyone who is ready to conquer their tobacco addiction. KickStart is a two-hour, one-session crash course designed to give you the information, resources, and motivation you need to quit smoking, vaping, or chewing tobacco.
Bonnie Riely, a certified tobacco treatment specialist, is providing the skills and tools to conquer the addiction, presented in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Money awarded to tribes to help build ‘climate resilience’
"There's no judgment whatsoever," Riely said. "I smoked for many, many years, I've been tobacco free for probably 16 or 17 years, I don't even know anymore. So I've been there and I've done it so people can really relate to what I'm saying because I have been there."
The class is being held tomorrow from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. You still have time to register online at First District Health Unit or just give them a call.
