WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in the District said Wednesday that they made an arrest in a homicide that happened just over two years ago in Northwest D.C. On Dec. 30, 2022, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 1400 block of Clifton Street NW shortly before 2:30 a.m. after hearing gunshots in the area. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: 3 people shot to death around DC within hours While canvassing, MPD found 21-year-old Jhonatan Guzman Hernandez of Upper Marlboro, Md. suffering from gunshot wounds in an alley near the 2400 block of 15th Street NW. He died there. On Jan. 8, 2025, over two years since the attack, MPD said officers arrested 21-year-old Alfred Steven Paulino-Del Rosario of Silver Spring. He was charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
