Woman's body found in Springfield's Forest Park

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - An investigation is being conducted after a woman's body was found inside Forest Park in Springfield Tuesday night.

Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh said that at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were sent to the 300 block of Trafton Road. When officers arrived, they found an adult woman dead.
The Hampden District Attorney's Office Spokesperson Elijah Ayers told 22News that the body was in the Camp Star Angelina area of Forest Park.

The Hampden District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with the Springfield Police Detective Bureau’s Homicide Unit is conducting an unattended death investigation at this time.
