Park City School Board welcomes new members, leadership

The Park City School District officially welcomed three new members to the school board during a special meeting on Wednesday.Susan Goldberg, Eileen Gallagher and Kathleen Britton were sworn into the board following their elections in November. The only incumbent members, Meredith Reed and Nick Hill, were also voted in as the board’s new leaders.Reed was chosen as the new school board president after Hill nominated her for the role. She then proposed Hill be the vice president. Both were unanimously selected.The pair will take the helm of the school board as former President Andrew Caplan, Vice president Wendy Crossland and board member Anne Peters vacate their seats. All three quit their races leading up to the general election. Britton was the only candidate who had a contested race.Reed and Hill were elected in 2022, and ran on platforms that focused on bringing communication and transparency to the school board.
