RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 12-year-old girl was shot in Richmond's Southside neighborhood Tuesday evening. At about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1600 block of Glenfield Avenue for report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a 12-year-old girl with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. No further details are available as of the time of reporting. The investigation into this incident continues.
