Five arrested and charged after seizure of firearm, ammunition, narcotics in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said it arrested five people after they were allegedly found in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics on Jan. 8.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the Patrol Bureau, Major Case Division, Community Action & Suppression Team, and Emergency Services Unit received multiple search warrants for a property associated with 700 Second Street.
During the investigation, police said it seized a firearm, ammunition, and a “substantial quantity” of illegal narcotics.
Law enforcement arrested Ludugero Dias, 20, Ashly Teixeira, 26, Alajaiza Oliveira, 23, Carlos Gomes, 31, and Dylan Santos, 20.
All five individuals are charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws, trafficking fentanyl over 10 grams, possession of class B, possession of a firearm without firearm identification, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and possession of ammunition without firearm identification.
According to Fall River police, the operation was part of an ongoing investigation.
