Westport police said the texts appear to be sent from EZDriveMA, which is a program where Massachusetts residents can pay their highway tolls online. The false message claims the recipient’s toll balance needs to be paid soon. However, Massachusetts officials said drivers would never be contacted through text to pay a toll balance, according to Westport police.
