He had been removed from the hospital’s emergency room waiting area for creating a disturbance, police said. Remson then drove the cruiser into Connecticut, police said, where it was located by tracking an officer’s phone that was left inside. Remson appeared in New London District Court Tuesday for arraignment on a larceny charge, where his bond was set at $20,000, according to the clerk’s office. He remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled on February 4. Once he is extradited to Rhode Island, Remson will face a charge for stealing the cruiser, according to a Providence police report. Extradition will also be addressed in his court appearance scheduled for February, the clerk’s office said. ABC6 News producer Alex Talley contributed to this report.
