(WFRV) - The Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response team was able to collect over 400 blankets that will be donated to those in need throughout the community. In a post from the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office, the department thanked the community for its generosity, as the total of 444 blankets broke the previous record of 389, set last year. City of Appleton continues trend of yearly decreases in crime since 2020, down 33% in 2024 Outagamie County Sheriff K9 Force stopped by to help thank the community. Each blanket will be distributed to those in need during a cold winter time. The distribution will be done by the Victim Crisis Responders. The post concluded by thanking the people for being "a community that cares."
