Wisconsin Fire Department announces station reopening seven years after closing

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - After closing seven years ago, a Milwaukee Fire Department station is reopening due to 2025's budget funding in the city.
The Milwaukee Fire Department announced on Facebook that Engine 31 is back in action, responding from Station 31 at South 8th Street and West Hayes Avenue.
Grand Chute Fire Department upgrades Emergency Medical Service systems
The station closed in the middle of December 2017 due to budget cuts but is now back in action, which will provide extra help to Milwaukee residents.
"The reopening of this station means faster response times, enhanced protections and a renewed commitment to keeping you safe," the post said.
The post ended by expressing the department's excitement to house Engine 31 and Med 15.
