Wisconsin Police K9 retires from force after 8 years of service in the community

CALEDONIA, Wis. (WFRV) - A southern Wisconsin police department is celebrating the career of one of its K-9s as he heads for retirement from the force.
K-9 Louie of the Caledonia Police Department served with his handler, Officer Cory Radke, and the force for eight years.

"From protecting our officers to assisting in searches, drug detection and apprehensions, K-9 Louie has been a true hero," the Caledonia Police Department said on Facebook.
K-9 Louie will officially retire on Monday, January 13, in a public event, along with the swearing-in of two new officers.
