WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – School officials in Williamsburg County announced scheduled changes for Friday due to inclement weather. The Williamsburg County School District said its schools will have early dismissal because of the potential for a wintry weather mix and the safety of students, faculty, and staff. While most areas will see a cold rain on Friday, there is a chance that some further inland could see a small bit of winter weather precipitation; however, nothing that accumulates. A winter weather event is not expected. “Consequently, all extracurricular activities and after-school activities will be canceled for Friday,” the district said, adding that the district’s job fair will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 9 a.m.
