Shortly after, the video showed a person exiting the vehicle and fleeing the scene on foot. During the shooting, the car was still in drive and crossed a median and four lanes of traffic until it hit a curb.
Detectives found many spent shell casings in the vehicle.
Witnesses told detectives the victim was last seen with "Jeremiah" traveling to a local business. Video footage showed the victim and the other subject entering and exiting the store. The suspect's description matched the description from the video at the crime scene, EBRSO said.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Howze. On Dec. 23, detectives conducted a search warrant and found hidden clothes. They matched the clothing in the video, EBRSO said.
