AUSTIN (KXAN) -- South By Southwest, the annual event focused around music, tech, film, television, music and education hosted in Austin is seeking volunteers for its 2025 events. Since 1987, SXSW has been hosting it's annual event hosting music, comedy showcases, film and television screenings a variety of networking opportunities, and more according to a release from SXSW. This year's SXSW and SXSW EDU conferences and festivals will run from March 3-15. SXSW is seeking volunteers now to help with this year's festivities. RELATED: Free South by Southwest events in Austin SXSW encourages all individuals 18 years and older interested in film, music, tech and education to volunteer. "SXSW and SXSW EDU offer many opportunities for personal and professional growth while fostering a culture of fun and community engagement," the release said. SXSW said it was offering two types of volunteering roles, allowing the volunteer to select the best role and schedule for them. Volunteers can choose from over 20 different crews to work with like stage crew, sessions, tech and more. Those who work 18 hours during the event would receive attendance to SXSW EDU, while those who work 24 hours get attendance to SXSW. Interested? Attend the SXSW Volunteer call event happening at the Austin Convention Center on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted on the first floor in Ballroom ABC. SXSW said attending this event will be the best opportunity to learn more about this year's programs, as well as volunteering opportunities, such as selecting their crews and picking their schedules. SXSW will also be hosting a volunteer support and sign-up session at SXSW headquarters. Sign-up sessions will be held Feb. 3 and 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not able to attend these opportunities?
