PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) is offering a reward of up to $25,000 in connection to the shooting death of a rideshare driver on New Year's Day. Police said that on Jan. 1, around 10:40 p.m., officers were called to a shooting in the 3300 block of Bladensburg Road in the town of Cottage City. Once on the scene, police found 36-year-old Oluwatosin Adetula of Hyattsville lying in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. 14-year-old arrested for stabbing girl with scissors outside shelter in DC, police say He was taken to the hospital, where he died six days later. As the investigation continued, detectives learned that Adetula was working as a rideshare driver when he was killed. PGPD said detectives are still working to learn what led to the shooting and identify a motive and a suspect. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call homicide unit detectives at 301-516-2512.
