WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in D.C. said a 14-year-old girl was arrested after she stabbed another girl with a pair of scissors outside a homeless shelter in Northeast. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the incident happened outside the Sasha Bruce Youthwork shelter in the 1000 block of Maryland Avenue around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 6. Man arrested after trying to stab employees inside Northwest DC store on New Year’s Day, police say Once on the scene, police officers learned that two teenage girls were arguing before it escalated into a fight. That's when one of them took out a pair of scissors and stabbed the other in the back, according to the police report. Medics took the victim to the hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown as of Wednesday morning. The 14-year-old girl was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
