HANCOCK, Mass. (WWLP) - A college student from New Jersey has died in a skiing accident at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort on Tuesday. In a news release from Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office Spokesperson Julia Sabourin, a person called 911 at around 2:39 p.m. and told dispatch a skier went over an embankment on the left side of Cutter Trail when descending the mountain. Jiminy Peak Ski Patrol worked to help 19-year-old Alex Kemp who was found suffering from significant head trauma. Skier injured after accident at Berkshire East Mountain Resort Members of the Northern Berkshire EMS arrived to provide life-saving measures. Kemp was taken to Berkshire Medical Center before being transferred to Baystate Medical Center where he died. The DA's office said Kemp was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved. He was a student at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
