Elderly man struck and killed by vehicle on Route 10 in Easthampton

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - An elderly man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 10 in Easthampton Tuesday evening.
The Easthampton Police Department reported at around 4:45 p.m. that Main Street, which is Route 10, was closed between South Street and Coleman Road.

Northwestern District Attorney's Office Spokesperson Laurie Loisel told 22News a driver heading southbound towards Southampton struck and killed a 72-year-old man from Easthampton. The driver was identified as a 39-year-old man.

The road has since reopened however, the incident is still being investigated.
