Four taken to hospital after crash on Greenfield Road in South Deerfield

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Four people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Greenfield Road early Wednesday morning.
No injuries after car catches fire on Sumner Ave in Springfield
The South Deerfield Fire District states that at 6:00 a.m., crews were called to Greenfield Road in the area of the Red Roof Inn for a two-car motor vehicle accident.
Four people, including a nine-year-old boy, were taken to Baystate Medical Center for their injuries, Deerfield Police Chief John Paciorek Jr. said. One of the four people involved was over seven months pregnant and is currently being evaluated for an emergency birthing process.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, State Police Detective Unit, State Police Collision and Analysis Section (CARS), and the Deerfield Police Department.
Routes 5 and 10 were closed from 5:50 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.
