HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County Public Schools will have a required makeup day on Monday, which was previously a student holiday, due to the number of inclement weather days it has used. According to the school district, Monday, Jan. 13 will be a full instructional school day across all Hanover County Public Schools and not a student holiday/teacher clerical day due to the number of inclement weather days it has used. Hanover Schools said the 2024-25 school calendar includes two banked inclement weather days and three designated makeup days. The school district's closing on Wednesday, Jan. 8 marked the third inclement weather day of the year, requiring a makeup day, according to officials.
