RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Boulevard Bridge, also known as "Nickel Bridge", in Richmond has been closed for three days due to the recent winter weather. According to the Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority (RMTA), Nickel Bridge closed on Sunday, Jan. 5, and remains closed as of Wednesday, Jan. 8. As transportation agencies often report, bridges, overpasses and interstates freeze faster than other road surfaces.
