Pallets of bottled water arrive in Richmond from Alabama

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- In the morning on Wednesday, two loads of bottled water on pallets arrived in Richmond from Alabama to be handed out to residents.
According to a post to social media by the City of Richmond, the loads of water arrived at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 and had traveled from York, Alabama.
The following locations will be handing out bottled water from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday:
Broad Rock Library: 4820 Old Warwick Road
West End Library: 5420 Patterson Avenue
Hickory Hill Community Center: 3000 Belt Boulevard
Bellemeade Community Center: 1800 Lynhaven Avenue
Midtown Green: 2401 W Leigh Street
Pine Camp Community Center: 4901 Old Brook Road
Randolph Community Center: 1415 Grayland Avenue
Westover Hills Community Center: 1301 Jahnke Road
East End District Initiative (EDI): 701 North 25th Street
Southside Plaza: 4100 Hull Street Road
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, the city said 100 pallets of bottled water, amounting to 90,000 liters, were distributed throughout 10 locations in Richmond, as well as to seniors, childcare centers, shelters, the Juvenile Detention Center and the Richmond Justice Center.
