Staff send letter calling for South County Health CEO to step down
Jan 08, 2025
WAKEFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — South County Health has received a letter from current and former staff members and donors, outlining numerous concerns.
This comes following earlier resignations in the hospital’s oncology unit.
Some employees also held a no confidence vote back in September in South County Health’s current management.
The letter calls for the rehiring of the cancer center clinical team and its director, saying their removal has created anxiety and uncertainty affecting hundreds of cancer patients.
The letter also calling for CEO Aaron Robinson to step down, calling his management style incompatible with the South County’s culture.
It also calls for a partnership with a larger health system so South County can update its equipment, technology and infrastructure.
The letter was signed by more than 60 people.
