Dartmouth police use drone to locate suspect in alleged DUI car vs. pole crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department used a police drone to track down a driver who allegedly struck and broke a telephone pole while potentially under the influence of alcohol.
According to Dartmouth police, Joshua Gallaudet, 41, of Dartmouth, ran a gray BMW into a telephone pole on Potomska Road on Sunday at approximately 9:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, witnesses told police that the driver may have fled into the nearby woods, prompting the use of the drone that ultimately located the suspect.
Alcohol impairment is suspected to be involved in the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
Charges against Gallaudet are pending.
