More than 12K without power in Jefferson Parish

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — More than 12,000 Entergy customers in Jefferson Parish are without power on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
The Entergy Outage Map shows that the outage was initially reported around 9:45 a.m.
Entergy officials said the outage was caused by an outage at a substation, and crews are onsite and working to make repairs and restore power.

As of 10:30 a.m., the map displays that 12,326 residents are without power in Marrero and parts of Westwego.
Power is expected to be restored around 11:30 a.m.
