MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An arrest has been made in a stabbing incident that took place at the Greyhound bus station in the airport area last year. Sylvia Ray, 36, is charged with aggravated assault. She is held in jail on a $61,000 bond. Woman stabs person with screwdriver at Greyhound Bus Station: MPD Sylvia Ray (SCSO) According to Memphis Police, on December 6 officers responded to the stabbing at the Greyhound bus station on 3033 Airways Boulevard just after 5 a.m. A male victim told police that a woman was sleeping on a bench in front of him at the bus station when she woke up and went to the bathroom. After she returned, she gathered her belongings, walked behind the victim, and stabbed him in the left side of the neck with an unknown object, reports state. Police say the victim and the suspect did not know one another. Family says missing loved one stabbed to death at Memphis motel While at the scene, officers found a Krystal box where the female suspect was sitting that belonged to her and collected a latent print from the box. Video footage of the incident was also available at the scene. The prints came back positive for Sylvia Ray, police say. On December 25, the victim positively identified Ray in a six-person lineup as the person responsible for stabbing him. Sylvia Ray is due in court on Thursday morning.
