Changes to the city’s waste collection schedules

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The City of Lexington says they are not collecting recycling or yard waste for the rest of the week.
Recycle carts, yard waste carts, and yard waste will not be collected on Thursday or Friday.
City officials say they will continue to collect regular trash as scheduled. They are encouraging people to put their trash cart out the night before collection day since trucks will be running a double route and may start early in the morning.
The Haley Pike Waste Management Facility, the Lexington Recycle Center, and the Electronics Recycling Center are open on a two-hour delay today and will return to regular hours on Thursday.
Businesses with dumpsters that are only emptied on Monday or Tuesday will be emptied on Thursday or Friday this week.
Businesses are encouraged to make sure snow is not piled up in front of the dumpster and lock are not frozen over.
