INDIANAPOLIS — Elijah Hayes pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a man outside Lucas Oil Stadium in March of 2023. Hayes faced one count of murder but ended up pleading guilty to a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Elijah Hayes According to previous reports, 35-year-old Donnie Sanders was having a smoke outside Lucas Oil Stadium when Hayes is accused of walking up and shooting the victim at point-blank range. Sanders reportedly said, "You look familiar" to Hayes right before the fatal shot was fired. Police used surveillance footage, witnesses and evidence found on scene to track down Hayes and arrest him for the deadly shooting.
