KOKOMO. Ind. -- Two teens were shot during an altercation at a home in Kokomo early Wednesday morning. According to a news release from the Kokomo Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1000 block of South Elizabeth Street at around 2:19 a.m. on Wednesday. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old in the alley with a gunshot wound. The 17-year-old was transported to a local hospital and was then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Indianapolis. The release said that the 17-year-old is in critical condition. IMPD: 2 arrested after reported armed robbery at near east side Dollar General When the first teen was at the hospital, a second 17-year-old was then brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The second teen, who was also transferred to an Indianapolis hospital, is reportedly in stable condition. Morgan Killebrew The release said the department believes the two teens went to the home of 19-year-old Morgan Killebrew, a Kokomo resident, to confront him over a "previous altercation." Killebrew reportedly fired several rounds at the two teens, striking several vehicles in the area as well. Killebrew was arrested and has been preliminarily charged with: Two counts of aggravated battery, each a Level 3 felony Two counts of criminal recklessness, each a Level 6 felony The department said in the release that the case is currently still active.
