WILTON, Wis. (WFRV) - The suspect of a bank robbery in Minnesota was arrested in western Wisconsin on Tuesday after a coordinated investigation across state lines. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, 51-year-old Cory M. Billstrom of Janesville, Wisconsin, was arrested on January 7 in the Village of Wilton. Authorities say that Billstrom was wanted in connection to a bank robbery that happened in Bloomington, Minnesota, that same day. 19-year-old wrong-way driver in Wisconsin safely pulled over, arrested for OWI Cory M. Billstrom (Monroe County Sheriff's Office) On that Tuesday, deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office were notified by the Bloomington Police Department that Billstrom may have been in Wilton. After a short investigation, authorities with the Wilton Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrested Billstrom outside a residence in Wilton. It was also noted that Billstrom had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
