As a result of the traffic stop, 19-year-old Marissa Light from Cottage Grove was arrested for operating while under the influence.
Iowa County Sheriff Michael Peterson says he is thankful the situation was quickly and safety taken care of but adds that the sheriff's office is getting more and more reports of wrong-way drivers every week.
Sometimes it is just drivers that get confused and sometimes it is drivers that are under the influence. Either way it needs to stop before someone gets seriously hurt or killed.
