BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The first of three "Know Your Rights" community town halls was held Tuesday in Lamont in the wake of week-long immigration enforcement operations in Kern County.
Attendees packed the room to learn more about what to do when it comes to immigration status and interacting with federal officials, such as ICE and border patrol agents.
Experts say those without lawful immigration status, especially those with criminal arrests or convictions, as well as those with prior orders for removal, are at-risk of arrest or detention.
