The out of control wildfires ravaging Southern California are making no exceptions for fancy neighborhoods like the Pacific Palisades, which is home to \celebrities including Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon, James Woods and Michael Keaton. It isn’t immediately clear if any of those performers’ homes were damaged, but Woods posted photos of his neighborhood on social media and said his neighbor’s house was on fire Tuesday night. “To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned,” he posted. “Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.” He tearfully told CNN Wednesday his house was at the “epicenter” of the fire. Woods said he’d earlier worried about neighbors who weren’t managing their bushes and lawns. The “Casino” star urged Californians to follow firefighters’ directions when instructed to evacuate their homes. Hanks’ son Chet Hanks said on Instagram the neighborhood where he was raised was “burning to the ground.” Fire officials said the flames ravaging that area were at 0% containment Wednesday morning. Winds gusted at 100 mph. More than 1,000 buildings were burned in the Pacific Palisades along, according to fire officials. More than 5,000 acres in that neighborhood have so far been scorched with no end in sight. While the Pacific Palisades appeared to have been especially hard hit, LA City officials said emergency crews faced “unprecedented conditions” while fighting four life-threatening fires in the county, according to CNN.
