NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Former President Jimmy Carter is being honored right here in western Massachusetts.  Cooley Dickinson Hospital welcomed first baby of 2025 The Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity will be holding a memorial on Wednesday in Northampton. President Carter provided countless contributions to Habitat homeowners for nearly four decades. The organization will raise a wall with a door on it to symbolize the many doors of opportunities the former president made through his service and contributions to others. The memorial door will remain in place for several days. The event is happening at noon at the Unitarian Society of Northampton, and the public is welcomed to come sign the wall and door.
