The Minnesota native hits the quarter-century mark Today, Spurs guard Tre Jones turns 25.
Originally drafted 41st by the Spurs in 2020, he is one of the longest tenured members of the Silver & Black behind Keldon Johnson (drafted in 2019) and Devin Vassell (who was drafted just a couple of hours before Jones).
Ever since his rookie season where he split time with the G-League, Jones has been dependable and consistent, tweaking his game yearly and maintaining relevance both on and off the court.
As a member of the Spurs, Jones is visual in the community consistently representing the Spurs as he brings smiles to fans through outreach.
Tre asks whatever is asked of him, moving effortlessly from starting point guard to second unit general.
He has a penchant for getting to the hoop, making him equally a threat to cut to the basket or to dish to a three-point sharpshooter.
As the team continues to evolve and build around Victor Wembanyama, Jones adjusts his role to stay a necessary piece of the movement.
Tonight the Spurs are in Milwaukee taking on the Bucks, so Tre and the team will have to celebrate on the road.
Go Spurs Go!
And happy birthday, Tre.
