Don’t worry, it’s all going to be fine — at least when it comes to the live music we can enjoy in the dreary dead of winter. It’s a happening scene, especially for the “slow season,” with big names, touring favorites and enough great local music to make us all proud.Speaking of local: Though Club Café closed with little fanfare on Dec. 30, there’s a new venue in town. Haven, a collaboration between college kids and the Pittsburgh Innovation District, returns live music to Oakland, close to 20 years after the Upstage, the last great Oakland venue, shut its doors. It opens on Jan. 10 with a sold-out show at the former Byzantine Catholic church on Atwood Street.Post Genre, the creatives behind Haven, have all-ages shows scheduled every weekend through January and beyond. Local rock bands, including Mellow Honey and James Castle, play this month. Rap, rhythm and blues and hardcore acts will be added to the lineup in months to come, according to Post Genre co-founder Adam Klenovich. In February, they’ll open PG Studios in the same space, “which offers musicians an environment to rehearse, record and create,” Klenovich said. Here’s a sampling of more music events all over town this winter:Bottlerocket Social HallPitter Patter.
