Tulare County man arrested after leaving conservation camp, officials say

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The man from Tulare County wanted after allegedly walking away from a conservation camp in Los Angeles County has been arrested, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations announced Tuesday.
Officials announced they apprehended Santiago Duran, 35, of Tulare County, who was wanted after walking away from the Julius Klein Conservation Camp in Azusa Monday, surrendered himself to members of the CDCR's Special Services Unit in Sacramento without incident on Tuesday at around 5:15 p.m.
Officials add Duran will be rehoused at a prison and his case will be referred to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for consideration of escape charges.
