Arrest made in New Year's Day shooting investigation in Reedley

REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A person has been arrested following reports of shots fired that had people fleeing from a home in Reedley on New Year's Day, the Reedley Police Department said.
Police say they received reports of shots being fired in the 1000 block of Friesen Avenue on Jan. 1.
Upon arrival, responding officers say they observed several people fleeing from a home. Several shell casings were located in the driveway.
Officers responded to the home and searched the location to gather evidence.
During the investigation, authorities reported they recovered a firearm matching the caliber of spent shell casings. A records check on the firearm revealed it had been reported stolen.
The police department states the investigation led to the arrest of one person. They were taken into custody and transported to the Fresno County Jail.
