H.S. Girls Basketball Wrap: Steinert snaps losing streak at Allentown

ALLENTOWN — The Steinert High varsity girls’ basketball team picked a good time to snap its five-game losing streak.
Taking on Allentown Tuesday in a Colonial Valley Conference Valley Division first-place clash, the Spartans shook off a slow start to defeat the Redbirds, 51-37.
Steinert sophomore Katie Corby led all scorers with 19 points, while junior Mia Pope backed her with 13 points. Lily DeRose’s 14 points were high for A’town.
